How to make a knockout bracket
Make every knockout round, from Round 1 to the Final, in one go.
Who can do this
The tournament owner or a Manager. Fans and Scorer helpers can only look at it.
Before you start
A tournament with at least 2 teams. See How to run a tournament.
Your seed order: who is number 1, number 2, and so on.
Turn on Knockout stage on the Manage tab, so fans know a knockout is coming. See How to create a tournament.
Seed the bracket
Open the tournament. Tap Standings, then Bracket.
Tap Seed bracket. The Seed bracket sheet opens.
Under AVAILABLE, tap your number 1 team first. Then tap number 2, and so on. The order you tap is the seed order.
To change the order, tap the up or down arrow next to a team.
Check ROUND 1 PAIRINGS. Number 1 plays the last team, number 2 plays the second last.
Tap Seed bracket at the bottom. Every round up to the FINAL appears.
Set dates and move teams
On a match card, tap Edit. Set the Date, Time and Venue. Tap Save.
To swap two teams, tap Rearrange. Tap one team, then the other team.
To fill an empty TBD place, tap it while in Rearrange. Tap a team.
Tap Done.
Reseed (start the bracket again)
Tap Reseed. The Seed bracket sheet opens again.
Choose the teams in the new order. Tap Seed bracket.
Common problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Add teams first | You need at least 2 teams in the tournament. Add them on the Teams tab. |
| Can't reseed | A bracket match is finished. Use Rearrange instead. |
| Locked — "Live or completed matches can't be changed." | Choose an upcoming match. |
| I don't see Seed bracket | Only the owner and Managers see it. |
| A BYE team is not in Round 2 | Tap Rearrange, tap the TBD place, and choose the team. |
