Getting started

How do I create a player profile?

Profile → Edit Profile. Fill in the Player Profile section — a Display Name and a unique handle — and tap "Save & create profile". The handle (3–60 lowercase letters, numbers or hyphens) can't be changed later, so pick it carefully.

How do I edit my profile?

Profile → Edit Profile. Tap your photo to change it. You can edit your name, email and phone, and in Player Profile: display name, role, gender, location ("Use my current location"), batting and bowling style, jersey number, bio and social links (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok). Tap "Save changes".

How do I change my password?

Profile → Edit Profile → Change Password. Enter your current password and a new one (6–12 letters or digits).

Old matches I played aren't on my profile. How do I add them?

Settings → "Claim my matches". The app lists roster entries that match your name — tick the ones that are you and tap "Add to my profile". If none are you, tap "None are me — skip".

Where do I see my stats and progress?

Profile → My profile shows your career stats, posts and videos. Profile → Progress has your points, leaderboards and badges. You need a player profile first.

Matches & scoring

How do I create a match?

Open the My Cricket tab → "New match". Set the teams, overs, venue and more. A match can be Public (visible on the public scoreboard) or Private (only you can see it).

How do I score a match?

Open the My Cricket tab and tap Start or Continue on a match under "Score now". If you don't see the match, ask its organizer to assign you as a scorer.

How do I get assigned as a scorer?

The match organizer invites you from the match (or from the tournament's Matches tab → ⋮ → Assign scorer). The invitation appears under "Scorer requests" in My Cricket — accept it and the match shows under "Score now".

I'm on a match's public page. How do I get back to scoring?

If you can score that match, a green "Open scoreboard" bar appears under the header of the match page — tap it to go straight to the scoring screen.

What is the Playing XI feature?

Before the match starts (Toss or Setup), choose the 11 players for each team from their squad. It keeps the scorecard and player stats accurate.

Why can't a bowler bowl another over?

The bowler has reached the match's overs-per-bowler limit. A part over counts as a full over — for example with a 4-over limit, a bowler who has bowled 3.2 overs has used all 4.

How do I end a match?

From the scoring screen, end the match, fill in the "Result Summary" and choose the Player of the Match (or leave it on "Auto").

My match data isn't saving. What do I do?

With no internet the score is saved on your phone and sent later — see "Offline" below. If it says "Not synced" while you are online, tap it to try again; if the problem continues, pull down to refresh or restart the app.

Offline (no internet)

Can I score a match without internet?

Yes. Open the match (or just My matches) once while you have internet, so it is saved on your phone. After that you can score the whole match offline — toss, Playing XI, adding players, both innings, undo, and the result. The scoring screen shows "Offline" at the top while you do.

When does my offline scoring reach CricoScore?

Automatically, as soon as your phone is back online — or when you open the app or sign in. You can also tap "Sync now" on the scoring screen or "Send now" in My matches. Until then, matches show a "Not sent" tag. Keep the app installed and stay signed in until it is sent.

Can I manage teams and tournaments offline?

Yes. You can create and edit teams, add or remove players and set the captain, create a tournament (with a logo), add teams to it, make groups, and schedule matches — and score those matches offline too. A bar at the top shows how many changes are waiting, and everything is sent together when you are online.

What needs internet?

Live streaming, assigning a scorer, adding collaborators or team admins, setting up the knockout bracket, searching registered players, the feed and chat. The app tells you when something needs internet.

Can people see my match while I score offline?

No. Fans see it on CricoScore only after your phone sends it. Notifications like wickets or "match is live" are not sent late for matches scored offline.

How long can I stay offline?

Up to 30 days. Your sign-in lasts 30 days from the last time the app was online, so connect at least once a month.

A change says "Couldn’t send". What do I do?

Tap "Try again". If the server keeps refusing it (for example, the team was deleted online), tap "Discard" to drop that one change; everything else is still sent.

Someone else changed the match while I was offline. What happens?

When your phone syncs, it asks you: keep your offline scoring (it replaces theirs) or use the version on the server (your offline scoring on this phone is deleted). Only one person should score a match offline.

How do I see or share the scorecard without internet?

On the scoring screen open the menu → Scorecard, or in My matches tap a match → "Full scorecard & share". You get Summary, Scorecard (batting, bowling, extras, fall of wickets) and Overs, all worked out on your phone. Tap Share to send it as a picture or as text on WhatsApp — no internet needed. A link is offered once the match is synced and public.

Live streaming (YouTube & Facebook)

Who can stream a match?

The match owner, the tournament's owner or collaborators, and the match's assigned scorers.

How do I go live?

Open the match's stream screen — "Go Live" on the scoring screen, "Go Live" in the match edit form, or Matches tab → ⋮ → "Go live" in a tournament. Then tap the big "Go Live" button. Viewers can always watch in the CricoScore app; YouTube and Facebook are optional.

How do I stream to YouTube?

In YouTube Studio: Create → Go Live → copy the Stream Key. In the app's stream screen tap ⚙ (Stream settings) → Broadcast → YouTube → "Set up", paste the Stream Key, add the Watch URL (share link) so fans can open it, and Save. Then Go Live. The scoreboard is added to the YouTube video automatically.

How do I stream to Facebook?

On facebook.com: Create → Live video → "Use Streaming Software" → copy the Stream Key (a Facebook Page works best). In the app's stream screen tap ⚙ → Broadcast → Facebook → "Set up", paste the key, add the Watch URL and Save. Then Go Live.

Which quality should I choose?

⚙ → Quality: Saver (720p, 1.2 Mbps), Low (720p, 2), Medium (720p, 3), High (1080p, 4.5) or HD (1080p, 6). Pick one your internet can hold steadily. Quality can't be changed while live.

Can I use more than one camera?

Yes, up to 4 phones. On the second phone, open the same match's stream screen and tap Go Live — it joins as Camera 2. The main phone then shows a CAMERAS switcher to choose which camera is on air. Only the main phone sends to YouTube/Facebook.

How do I adjust the camera?

Tap the aperture icon (Camera adjustments) on the stream screen: zoom, brightness, colour, light (torch), stabilizer, focus, sports mode, anti-flicker, sharpness, noise reduction and filters. The snapshot button saves a photo from the camera to your gallery.

How do I show scorecards on the stream?

While live, tap "Cards" to put a summary, scorecard, squads, batter, bowler or partnership card on the broadcast.

Tips before going live

Plug in the phone, turn on Do Not Disturb, use WiFi if you can, and set the phone's orientation BEFORE going live — rotating ends the stream. To stop, tap "Stop Stream"; with several cameras you can stop one camera or end it for everyone.

How do fans watch?

On the match page: "Watch live in the app" (when a camera is live), or "Watch on YouTube" / "Watch on Facebook" when a Watch URL was saved.

Tournaments & teams

How do I create a tournament?

My Cricket → ORGANIZE → "New tournament". Add a name and logo, dates, a format (T20, T10, ODI… sets the overs for you), players per side, venue, and tap "Create tournament". It then opens on its Manage tab.

How do I add teams to a tournament?

Open the tournament → Teams → "Add teams". Search for an existing team, or type a new name and tap "Create & add". Teams can't join by themselves — the organizer adds them.

How do I schedule matches?

Tournament → Matches → "Schedule match" (add at least 2 teams first). Each match's ⋮ menu lets you edit it, assign a scorer, set the Playing XI, score it, go live or open its page.

How do groups and the points table work?

Standings shows the Table, Groups and Bracket. Groups are optional — skip them for a single round-robin, or add groups and tap teams to move them in. Only completed matches count in the table.

Can other people help run my tournament?

Yes. Manage → People → Collaborators. Add people by name, @handle, phone or email (they need a CricoScore account) as Manager (full access) or Scorer (score only). Only the owner can add or remove them.

What is a championship?

The umbrella brand for a tournament that runs every season. Create one from My Cricket → "My championships", then attach each edition from the tournament's Manage tab → "Attach to a championship".

How do I hide or declare a winner for a tournament?

In Manage: turn off "List publicly" to hide it from the browse list (people with the link can still open it). "Declare a champion" sets the winner — left blank, it's worked out from the final or the table.

How do I create a team?

My Cricket → My teams → "New team". Add a team name, short name and logo, then build the squad under "Manage Squad" — add players by name or pick registered players.

How do I manage a team's admins?

On the team page, tap "Manage Admins" and add people by @handle, phone or email.

MVP, predictions & following

How is the Player of the Match chosen?

Whoever ends the match picks it. If it's left on "Auto", the app shows the player with the most runs + 25 per wicket. A tournament's MVP ranking (Stats → MVPs) counts only picked awards, not "Auto" ones.

What is the fan MVP vote?

After a match is completed, signed-in fans can vote for their MVP on the match page's Summary tab — one vote each, and you can change it. Only players who batted or bowled can be picked. It doesn't change the official Player of the Match.

How do predictions work?

On a match page, signed-in fans predict the toss (team and bat/bowl) and the winner. The toss closes when the toss is recorded; the winner stays open until the result. A correct toss earns 5 points, a correct winner 10. See the leaderboards in a tournament's Stats → Predictions.

What does following do?

Tap Follow on a player, team or tournament. Their posts show up more in your feed, and you get notified about their new posts — and for teams, when their match goes live, wickets and the result. Control alerts in Settings → notifications.

Feed & messages

How do I post a photo or video?

Crico Feed tab → tap the pencil (Create post). Add up to 10 photos or videos — each up to 50 MB, videos up to 3 minutes.

How do I choose a cover for my video?

After adding a video to a post, tap "Cover" on the video. Pick a frame from the clip or a photo from your gallery. The cover shows on the feed and when the post link is shared.

How do I save a post?

Tap the bookmark icon on any post. Find saved posts at Profile → Saved Posts.

How do I message someone?

Open their player profile and tap "Message". All chats and groups are in the Messages tab.

Account

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete Account. Type your handle to confirm and tap "Permanently delete my account". Your data is removed within 30 days; match scorecards stay, with your name shown as "Deleted player".

How do I contact support?

Profile → Support opens WhatsApp. You can also email us from the Contact Us section at the top of this page.
